President and Executive Director's Message

It has been over a year since the COVID-19 pandemic turned our lives upside down. Although it has been a challenging and uncertain year, we want to thank everyone, including community partners, corporations, the quick response of our funders, and individuals who have supported us throughout the pandemic. We look back with gratitude because your support has enabled us to continue to provide valuable programs and services to our community.

We didn’t miss a beat! As a result of the pandemic, we pivoted our services and implemented others to meet the emerging needs and address gaps in services. We enabled staff to work remotely and deliver more of our programs virtually to maintain a strong level of support in the community.

In Addition, our Community Support Services team moved to the NEW Orléans Health Hub. We are excited to part of a unique and innovative model that will bring a wide range of specialized and community healthcare services under one roof.

Throughout this report you will find highlights of those efforts from distributing over 5000 personal protective equipment, knocked on over 2000 doors, delivered food hampers, performing wellness checks, or providing virtual activities and supports.

We are very proud of the hard work that our dedicated staff, volunteers, and board of directors have accomplished over the past year. We continue to learn and adapt to the ever-evolving situation and changing circumstances as we move forward.
